The Marsilius-Kolleg at the University of Heidelberg is a component of the Excellence Initiative by the German federal government and the federal states. Its work promotes interdisciplinary, scientific dialogue in Heidelberg as a location. For the regularly published annual report on projects, lectures and events at the institute we made the deliberate choice of an abstract, artistic design form: A mixed-technique illustration, changing each time, featuring a red circle symbolises the focus on the interplay among various scientific fields. This type of illustration is also applied during the Marislius-Studien series of lectures, whereby an intended, clear coherence arises.
